In Our Charity Shops
From chatting with customers to creating eye-catching window displays, our shops thrive thanks to volunteers like you. You can help sort and price donations, organise stock, and make sure every visitor feels welcome. It’s a great way to meet people, build confidence, and directly support our mission on the high street.
Behind the Scenes
Prefer to work away from the shop floor? There are vital roles behind the scenes in our warehouse, donation centre, and offices. From helping with admin and data entry to preparing stock and coordinating collections, your support keeps our operations running smoothly and efficiently.
At Events
Love getting out and about? Join us at fundraising events, awareness days, and community outreach activities. Whether you’re setting up, speaking to the public, or cheering on participants — you’ll play a key part in spreading our message and helping raise funds to save lives.
Got a Special Skill?
Whether you’re a photographer, a web whiz, a public speaker, or great with social media – we’d love to hear from you. Volunteers bring all kinds of skills that help us grow, so if you have a passion or talent you’d like to share, let’s talk!
Whether you already know how you’d like to help or you’re simply curious about getting involved, we’d love to hear from you. Volunteering with AEDdonate isn’t just about giving time — it’s about joining a passionate community, learning new skills, and being part of something truly life-changing.
Our friendly team is here to guide you through the process. We’ll help you find a role that suits your interests, schedule, and strengths — whether that’s in one of our shops, behind the scenes, or out in the community.
No experience? No problem. All you need is enthusiasm and a willingness to make a difference.
We are incredibly proud that AEDdonate was awarded The King’s Award for Voluntary Service in 2023, the highest honour given to local volunteer groups in the UK, often described as the “MBE for voluntary groups.”
This award recognises the passion, commitment, and generosity of our volunteers. From supporting our charity shops and office to helping with fundraising, AED installations, awareness events, and community outreach, every volunteer has played a part in this achievement.
Receiving this award is a tribute to all of our volunteers, past and present, whose dedication makes it possible for us to continue saving lives and supporting communities across the UK.
Anyone aged 16 or over! We welcome individuals, families, community groups, businesses, and organisations who want to support our mission. No prior experience is needed. All you need is enthusiasm, compassion, and a willingness to get involved. Whether you have a little time or a lot, you’ll be making a difference.
There are many ways to get involved, depending on your interests and skills. Volunteers can support our charity shops and office with administration, customer support, or daily operations.
You can also help with fundraising events, awareness campaigns, community engagement, AED installations, or giving talks about the importance of defibrillators. Whatever your skills or interests, there’s a role for you to make a difference.
Volunteering is completely flexible. Some people volunteer once or twice a year at community events, while others give their time more regularly. There’s no minimum commitment, you can give as much or as little time as you are able, and every effort helps.
No special training is needed for most volunteer roles. If a role does require particular knowledge, such as basic AED awareness, we’ll make sure you’re fully supported with the information and guidance you need. The most important qualities are enthusiasm and a willingness to help.
Yes! Many of our volunteers come from sports clubs, schools, businesses, or local community groups who want to make an impact together. Group volunteering can be a fantastic way to bond, give back, and make a lasting difference in your area.
You won’t be on your own. Our friendly team will give you clear guidance, resources, and ongoing support. You’ll always know who to contact if you have questions, and we’ll make sure you feel confident and valued in your role.
Definitely. Volunteering with AEDdonate can help you build confidence, learn practical skills, and gain valuable experience. From event planning and fundraising to public speaking and teamwork, many volunteers find that they develop abilities they can use in other parts of their lives.
Getting started is easy. Simply fill out our volunteer interest form [link/button] or contact our team directly. We’ll be in touch to chat about your interests and find the opportunities that suit you best.
