Help Bring Hazelslade Pub’s Defibrillator Back to Life

In 2015, Hazelslade School worked with AEDdonate and the local community to fund and install a public access defibrillator on the side of Hazelslade Pub, right in the heart of the village. For over a decade, this life-saving device has been one of only three publicly accessible defibrillators serving Hazelslade and the surrounding area.

The importance of this defibrillator cannot be overstated. Several years ago, it was used in a real emergency and helped save the life of a teacher from Hazelslade Primary School. Thanks to its central location, the defibrillator has always been available when every second counts.

Sadly, the site is currently out of service and the cabinet no longer contains a working defibrillator, as there has been no funding available to support its upkeep. The good news is that AEDdonate has kindly agreed to provide a replacement defibrillator unit. However, we still need to raise funds for the essential pads, battery and ongoing maintenance that will keep the device rescue-ready for years to come.

We are asking the Hazelslade community to come together once again to help restore this vital piece of equipment. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help ensure that a defibrillator is available in the centre of the village for anyone who may need it in an emergency.

Together, we can help bring Hazelslade’s defibrillator back to life and keep our community protected.

Thank you for your support.
