Let AEDdonate perform regular checks / allow access for upkeep.
It is a partnership between Staffordshire Moorlands District Council and AEDdonate to support public access defibrillators across the SMDC area. The scheme funds necessary consumables (such as pads and batteries), monitors installations, and provides support for registered defibrillators.
Any community, organisation or site within the Staffordshire Moorlands District that has (or wishes to have) a public access defibrillator can apply to register for SMDC-AEDdonate support.
The scheme covers consumables for defibrillators (like pads and batteries) once the site is registered, and the defibrillator is accepted onto AEDdonate’s circuit account.
It means that AEDdonate has a second pair of eyes on the AED circuit record for monitoring battery and pad expiry, carrying out health checks, and managing when consumables need replacing. It also helps if we need to remove the AED from service or make live following a deployment. Being accepted onto the circuit is a requirement for supply of funded consumables.
AEDdonate will check the defibrillator’s location, condition, pad and battery status, and ensure everything is in working order as part of bringing it into the scheme.
