Event details
Our Online CPR and AED Awareness Event gives you the practical knowledge and confidence to act quickly during a cardiac emergency. When cardiac arrest happens, immediate action from bystanders can dramatically improve survival outcomes.
This session explains what to do in those critical first minutes before emergency services arrive. We guide you through recognising cardiac arrest, starting hands-only CPR, and using an automated external defibrillator (AED) safely and effectively.
Because the session is delivered live online, it is accessible to individuals, community volunteers, schools, workplaces, and organisations responsible for public safety equipment.
During the Online CPR and AED Awareness Event, you will:
Learn how to identify the signs of cardiac arrest
Understand the difference between cardiac arrest and a heart attack
See how to perform hands-only CPR
Discover how an AED works and why it is safe to use
Learn how defibrillator cabinets are accessed
Understand the importance of equipment maintenance
In addition, we address common concerns that prevent people from stepping forward in emergencies.
Early CPR and defibrillation save lives. The more people who feel confident using a defibrillator, the safer our communities become.
By taking part, you strengthen your ability to respond calmly and effectively. While this event does not provide a formal first aid qualification, it equips you with essential awareness that could make a life-saving difference.
If you want to expand your lifesaving skills further, we also run Bleed Kit Awareness Training sessions on Zoom. These teach how to respond to bleeding emergencies and maintain community safety equipment. Attending both sessions gives you a broader set of emergency response skills.
