6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Our CPR and Defibrillator Awareness Session provides clear, practical guidance on how to respond during a cardiac emergency. When someone experiences sudden cardiac arrest, immediate action from bystanders can significantly improve survival outcomes.

This live online session explains what happens during cardiac arrest and outlines the simple steps you can take while waiting for emergency services. You will gain a better understanding of hands-only CPR and how automated external defibrillators (AEDs) support lifesaving care.

Because the training is delivered online, it is accessible to individuals, volunteers, community groups, schools, and workplaces. No previous medical knowledge is required.

What You’ll Learn in This CPR and Defibrillator Awareness Session

During the session, we will:

  • Explain how to recognise cardiac arrest

  • Demonstrate the principles of hands-only CPR

  • Show how a defibrillator analyses heart rhythm

  • Discuss how AED cabinets are accessed

  • Highlight the importance of equipment checks and maintenance

  • Address common concerns about using a defibrillator

In addition, we clarify the role of community guardians who help maintain publicly accessible devices.

Why Attend?

In many emergencies, bystanders are the first people on the scene. Therefore, understanding how to begin CPR and use a defibrillator without hesitation can make a critical difference. Building awareness across communities ensures that more people feel ready to act when it matters most.

While this awareness training does not replace formal first aid certification, it equips you with essential knowledge that could help save a life.

Expand Your Lifesaving Skills with Bleed Kit Awareness Training

If you want to expand your lifesaving skills further, we also run Bleed Kit Awareness Training sessions on Zoom. These teach how to respond to bleeding emergencies and maintain community safety equipment. Attending both sessions gives you a broader set of emergency response skills.
