Event details
Our Community Bleed Kit Awareness Session is designed to teach essential lifesaving skills that help people act quickly and confidently during a bleeding emergency. Severe bleeding can become life-threatening within minutes. Therefore, knowing how to respond immediately can make a critical difference.
This session provides clear, practical guidance for anyone new to bleed kits as well as those who want to refresh their knowledge. By attending the Community Bleed Kit Awareness Session, you will gain a better understanding of how bleed kits support emergency response and how communities can work together to maintain them.
The training is suitable for local residents, workplace teams, school staff, volunteers, and anyone responsible for community safety equipment.
During the session, we will cover:
A brief overview of bleeding emergencies and first aid principles
How to use a community bleed kit effectively
Where kits are located and how they are accessed
Best practice guidance for safe use
Tips on kit maintenance and readiness
Understanding the role of a bleed kit guardian
What happens when a bleed kit is deployed
In addition, we discuss common concerns and help participants feel more confident about stepping forward in an emergency.
When communities understand how to respond to serious bleeding, outcomes improve. Quick action, calm decision-making, and proper equipment use can significantly reduce risk before professional help arrives.
By learning together, we strengthen community preparedness and build confidence across neighbourhoods. Although this session provides awareness and practical guidance, it does not replace formal first aid certification.
If you would like to broaden your emergency response knowledge, we also deliver Defibrillator Awareness Training sessions. Attending both sessions provides a more complete understanding of how to respond effectively when every second counts.
