Berrys Farm Defibrillator Upkeep Fundraising Campaign

We are REALLY pleased to announce that from July 1st 2026 we have a defibrillator at Berry’s Farm Campsite (what3words recital.weeds.films; post code LA2 0BG) We are so grateful to friends, family, neighbours and campers who have helped us fundraise for this live saving bit of kit. We hope it is never used but equally we are glad we have one in our community incase it is ever needed as potentially could save someone’s life. The go fund me page is staying open Berrys Farm Campsite Defibrillator Fundraising Campaign to help raise funds for the battery (needs replacing every 4 years) and replacement pads (need replacing if ever used or every 2 years)
Thank you (in advance) for any donations made.

Why maintaining a defibrillator is important

Each year in the UK, over 30,000 people suffer a sudden cardiac arrest outside of a hospital. Survival rates are low, with fewer than 1 in 10 people surviving.

In a sudden cardiac arrest, every second counts. Without immediate CPR and defibrillation, survival chances decrease by around 10% per minute. Early CPR and access to a defibrillator can significantly improve survival chances.

However, public access defibrillators are used in only around 9% of cases, highlighting the urgent need to make these life-saving devices more accessible in our communities.
