NEUK Community Pathways Trust Defibrillator Fundraising Campaign

NEUK Community Pathways trust, was set up to help those who need help, no matter their circumstances or situation. It is a community focused organisation whose motto is: Kindness Changes Lives. So we decided to enact an act of kindness after seeing someone who lives and work in Gateshead reached out over social media to tell his followers about what happened to his dad and how a complete stranger became a hero by saving his dads life with CPR.  The young man then decided he wanted to fundraise to have a defibrillator installed outside of his shop in Gateshead Tyne and Wear, so that if what happened to his Dad was to happen to someone else, there chance of survival would increase. That’s when we reached out offered our help and started the ball rolling to get a defibrillator on his behalf.  

Experience teaches us that a heart attack can happen to anyone at any time and a defibrillator can take the chance of someone surviving from 3% to 80%, which is a huge difference and that’s what we want, to be able to give that increased chance of survival and help someone who wants to help the community around him.
