James Russell, a Great Haywood resident, is working alongside AEDdonate to fundraise for 2 defibrillators, available to the community 24/7, to ultimately save lives. AEDdonate is committed to improving the chances of survival from out of hospital cardiac arrests. We achieve this by supporting the placement and use of defibrillators (AED’s) into local communities.
It is recommended that AED’s are placed no further than a 2 minute walk from each other, meaning that more defibrillators are needed in communities like yours.
30,000 people die each year from out of hospital SCA’s, 620 of these people are under the age of 35 and 270 of these deaths happen to children within schools. If defibrillation takes place within the first 3 minutes of a SCA, that patient’s chances of survival increase by upwards of 80%.
James Russell, Tanisha Jones & Aidan Oates are running the Manchester 10K on Sunday 19th May to raise funds. Please help in whatever way you can by donating to the link below. Every donation helps. There are approximately 196 houses on this estate; if every household made a donation, we would raise the funds in no time at all.
Thanks for taking the time to read this, we look forward to updating you further towards the end of May.
