New Automated External Defibrillator for Kempton House Day Centre

10th November 2021 - Rachel Richards

A new public access defibrillator has been installed at Kempton House Day Centre. The AED has been registered with the local ambulance service and is available to the public 24/7.

Susan Taylor-Hill from the centre said, “Kempton House Day Centre is a day centre in Peacehaven that runs a lunch club three days a week to support the elderly.
They also have bingo on Friday afternoons weekly and work to support families in the area.
We received the Queen Award for voluntary service in 2020 for our work within the community over the past 50 years.

We wanted to have a defibrillator on site as many people that attend the centre are elderly and many with health issues.

We know that by having this community defibrillator, we could help save someone’s life.”
