Introducing our new Ambassador! Meet Jack Hurley. Jack was part of the North Kilworth football team who were playing a friendly match vs Fleckney on Saturday 17th of June, when the unimaginable happened. Jack (19) had a sudden cardiac arrest and fell to the ground.
A 999 call was made to request an ambulance. The defibrillator was deployed and used by his fellow teammates within minutes. Jack received one shock and was flown to the hospital via Air Ambulance and has since made a full recovery.
Jack’s life was ultimately saved by the quick thinking of his teammates, access to a community defibrillator fundraised by the club and 2 of its sponsors, CPR performed by members of both teams, and the amazing work of the emergency services.
We are absolutely delighted that Jack has accepted the role of Charity Ambassador. We have also donated a Defibrillator for Jack to place in a location of his choosing.
