A community in Oldham now have a defibrillator available 24/7 after the family of Mary Dent decided to create a lasting legacy in her memory.
The machine has been located on the Parish Centre next to the St. Herbert’s Roman Catholic Parish Church. is available 24 hours a day 7 days a week. The defibrillator is registered with the local ambulance service and can be activated to anyone needing it in the nearby vicinity.
A defibrillator is a device that gives a high-energy electric shock to the heart through the chest wall to someone who is in cardiac arrest.
