Members of the public were invited to attend a community defibrillator awareness session at Stanton Village Hall after having a new defibrillator installed on the building.
The village hall provided an ideal location being next to the local school and a residential area. The defibrillator is available 24/7 and can be accessed by calling 999. The initiative was supported by members of the village hall, Stanton Primary School, the local community and match funding from the Tesco Bags of Help scheme.
Our awareness courses are designed to demonstrate just how easy it is to use a defibrillator but also shows how to access one in an emergency. The session allows for questions and aims to offer reassurance and structure in what can be an extremely stressful time.
Thank you to everyone involved.
