Members of the local community have recently attended a training session at The Tea Rooms at Carmountside Crematorium in Milton. The session covered what to do in a life-threatening emergency, how to do CPR and how to use a defibrillator. The sessions also offers an opportunity to ask questions and help to settle concerns.
A defibrillator is a device that gives a high-energy electric shock to the heart through the chest wall to someone who is in cardiac arrest. Providing an essential and potentially life-saving stage in the treatment of anyone suffering a Cardiac Arrest. Defibrillators are easy to operate with step-by-step instructions for members of the community to use in an emergency.
The Tea Room is also home to defibrillator located on an external wall available to the community. The defibrillator is registered with the local ambulance service and has recently had a site audit to ensure it is fully ready in the event of an emergency.
