The village of Little Dunham is now protected from Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) thanks to donations from AEDdonate and the Tesco Bags of Help Scheme.
A defibrillator and thermostatically heated cabinet have been installed in the telephone kiosk outside the Village Hut on Necton Road in Little Dunham near Kings Lynn. The defibrillator is available 24/7 to the community in a medical emergency.
Jamie Richards, Chief Executive of AEDdonate who supplied the AED said “The chance of survival after Sudden Cardiac Arrest decreases minute by minute, but if someone is shocked with a defibrillator within 3 minutes their chance of survival increases by 70%.
Having an AED within a 2 minute brisk walk of wherever you are I believe is a must.” We would welcome further communities to get in touch to see if we can help. I’m so glad that we have able to support this community at no cost to them”.
